Job Description

Position Summary:

As the Welding Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily welding operations on-site, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met. You will coordinate the team, supervise installations, and serve as the primary point of contact between management and field crew members.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead a team of welders and fitters on-site to install, weld, fit, and erect various metal structures and miscellaneous steel components. Provide hands-on support, including use of welding tools and equipment. Interpret blueprints, welding process specifications, and job layouts. Enforce and promote a safe work environment by ensuring adherence to safety procedures and policies. Maintain tools and equipment and oversee their proper use. Communicate with project managers regarding progress, challenges, and resource needs. Provide mentorship and training to team members to improve skills and efficiency.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Valid SMAW CWB welding tickets (preferred). Minimum 3-5 years of welding experience, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Strong understanding of welding practices, blueprint reading, and metal fabrication techniques. Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to lift and carry at least 50lbs; physically able to stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods. Proven ability to manage a team and complete work with minimal supervision.

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
