Welding Supervisor

Senti Solutions is a small but rapidly growing engineering group, located in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. We work on fundamental concepts and bring them to working equipment prototypes that are ready for large scale manufacturing. Our cutting edge designs focus on fluid processing equipment for various industries. We are searching for a creative and competent Welding Supervisor to join our manufacturing team.

Duties

Understand and follow fabrication drawings and weld procedures Adhere to quality standards including material and process traceability Prepare piece part materials and fit weldments Cut and polish stainless steel piece parts and tank components Design and build fabrication jigs and fixtures Incoming inspection of machined or other custom components Perform final inspection and sign off on all welded components, including ASME and CRN pressure vessels Act as Certified Individual in our pressure vessel welding program to ensure compliance with ASME B31.3, CSA, and TSSA requirements Oversee fabrication shop and report progress to engineering and management Set up manual, semi-automatic and orbital welding machines Work to independently solve problems and suggest solutions to engineering These duties pertain to low volume, high value equipment manufacturing projects Occasional assistance with field service work as required Other duties as required

Requirements

3+ years experience welding - TIG welding stainless steel and/or pressure vessel fabrication an asset Certified Individual Certification from NBBI an asset Proven experience with standard metal fabrication equipment (stainless steel specifically) Be effective and efficient. Have superior attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently as well as contribute as a key team member. Willingness and ability to learn new skills, such as welding Technology Diploma or Trades Education an asset Understand technical drawings and BOMs and be able to do material take offs from drawings Understand relevant manufacturing processes, tolerances and quality check points, and determine best manufacturing process for each item This is primarily a steady days position with the periodic overtime requirements Beneficial experience includes Exposure to Quality Control, Inspection and TSSA requirements Exposure to ASME pressure vessel manufacturing, and tanks in particular Mechanical Assembly experience Competitive wages will reflect experience and performance Applicants must be able to lift 50 lbs
