Scheller Metal Fabricators Ltd. is a Winnipeg, Manitoba-based Hydrovac and Vacuum Truck Manufacturer and Distributor. With a strong and growing demand for Hydro Excavation Equipment, we're looking to expand our team.

Hydrovacs are non-destructive excavation machines used in a variety of different industries and applications, including utility daylighting, industrial clean up and oilfield service. Key Responsibilities

Lead, motivate, and support your team to meet production goals and quality standards. Conduct stand-up meetings and communicate daily priorities clearly to the team. Coordinate workflow from shipping/receiving through to department output. Collaborate with the Assembly Foreman and Paint Shop Lead to ensure smooth shop operations. Perform quality inspections and resolve issues quickly. Oversee scheduling, vacation/PTO requests, and plan overtime when needed. Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews. Enforce health, safety, and cleanliness standards, working closely with the Health & Safety team. Address conflicts constructively and maintain a positive work environment. Participate in weekly production meetings and report regularly to the Production Manager. Provide occasional customer support related to welding and fabrication.

Skills & Qualifications

5+ years of experience in a fabrication shop environment. 5+ years in a leadership or management role. Extensive welding, fabrication, and assembly knowledge. CWB Supervisor Certification (asset). Strong mechanical skills and tech proficiency. Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities. Customer service experience. Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and lead a team safely toward production goals.

Pay: $35.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
