We are seeking skilled and dedicated Millwrights, welders and labourers to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in machinery installation, maintenance, and repair. As a Millwright, welder or labourer you will be responsible for ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and safely. This role requires proficiency in various technical skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Willingness to sign into an apprenticeship
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment in industrial settings.
Assemble and rig components using hand tools, welding techniques, and machining processes.
Operate cranes and forklifts to transport heavy equipment and materials.
Perform precision measurements using calipers and other measuring instruments to ensure proper alignment and fit of machinery.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems.
Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently and safely.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of parts.
Perform labour dutues including but not limited to helping associated tradesman, spark watch, apprentice work, cleaning and maintaining shop and assets
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Millwright, welder or labourer or in a similar role within an industrial environment.
Proficient in rigging, welding, machining, and assembly techniques.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems and basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
Ability to use hand tools effectively and safely.
Experience operating cranes and forklifts is preferred.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
