Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in welding and fitting, with a keen ability to read and interpret schematics. This role involves assembling and building components using hand tools and power tools, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the fabrication process.

Responsibilities

Utilize hand tools and power tools to assemble and fit metal components according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project requirements. Perform welding tasks using various techniques to ensure structural integrity of assemblies. Rig and position heavy materials for welding processes, utilizing cranes when necessary. Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and project goals.

Experience

Proven experience as a Welder/Fitter or similar role in a manufacturing or construction environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various hand tools and power tools effectively. Familiarity with welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding. Experience in rigging heavy materials and understanding of crane operations is a plus. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills. Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
