Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fitter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques and fitting skills. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprint reading, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate a range of tools and machinery. The Welder/Fitter will contribute to the production of high-quality products, including ductwork, structural components, and custom assemblies, ensuring safety and precision in all tasks.

Responsibilities



Perform MIG welding on various metals according to blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings. Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions to ensure accurate fabrication. Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble components. Operate plasma cutting machines, press brake machines, forklifts, cranes, and other manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently. Rigging materials for lifting or assembly using cranes or other rigging equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct quality inspections using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure parts meet specifications. Assist with the assembly of ductwork, structural steel, or other fabricated components as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety standards. Collaborate with team members on complex projects requiring mechanical knowledge and precision fitting.

Experience



Proven experience in welding (MIG ) within a manufacturing or construction environment. Mechanical knowledge related to assembly, machining, ductwork fabrication, or construction projects. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings. Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, forklifts, cranes, and other relevant equipment. Knowledge of rigging techniques for lifting heavy materials safely. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Prior experience with schematics interpretation and assembly processes is preferred.
