Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to read blueprints. We are a CWB certified shop, welder certification is ideal but training can be provided. This role involves working with various materials and equipment to produce high-quality welds and fittings for manufacturing projects.

Duties

Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials, ensuring adherence to quality standards. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively for assembly and fabrication tasks. Operate machinery such as press brake machines, plasma cutters, and forklifts as needed. Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality, making adjustments as necessary. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently within deadlines. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety regulations at all times.

Skills

Proficient in MIG welding, TIG welding, and general welding techniques. Strong mechanical knowledge. Familiarity with machining processes and the use of calipers for precise measurements. Ability to read blueprints accurately. Competent in using hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing equipment. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to projects. Skill in reading and interpreting measuring tape. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
