Job Description

We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable individual with a positive attitude, safe work practices, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Permanent full-time position (Monday - Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm)

Competitive wages will be determined based on relevant qualifications and experience.

Must have at least three (3) years welding / fitting experience.

CWB qualification required (company is willing to CWB certify strong candidates whose certifications have expired or have the required hands-on experience).

Physically demanding; manual dexterity; attention to detail; hand-eye co-ordination; combination of sitting, standing, walking.

Set-up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines.

Must be able to recognize, set-up and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade.

Lay out reference points and patterns, construct patterns, templates, and jig assemblies.

Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures.

Strong technical ability, troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and math skills required.

Possess strong communication skills and the ability to pay close attention to detail and examine work for defects and measure work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications.

Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints, determine the materials required, and plan the sequence of tasks to cut metal most efficiently; install fabricated components.

Common knowledge with basic trade tools: grinder, drills, cutting torches, brakes, and presses.

Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits in accordance with established safety and company requirements.

Perform other essential duties as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
