Overview


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fitter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong welding expertise, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to interpret complex schematics and blueprints. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects involving ductwork, construction, and assembly processes in a dynamic environment. Candidates should be committed to safety, quality, and efficiency in all tasks.

Duties



Layout, position and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straight edge, combination square, callipers and ruler. Tack-weld or welds components and assemblies, using electric, gas, arc, or other welding equipment. Observes tests on welded surfaces, such as hydrostatic, x-ray, and dimension tolerance to evaluate weld quality and conformance to specifications

Inspects groves, angles, or gap allowances, using micrometre, calliper, and precision measuring instruments. Grinding, hand filing and scarping of rough metal. Analyses engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly and welding operations. Performs preventative maintenance on all tools and equipment needed to perform job. Has working knowledge of adjusting values, amperage, or voltage to obtain desired flame or arc. Adhere to and maintain to all policies, procedures and health and safety measures as prescribed by the company and the law, Work with survivors to ensure job progress as planned. Clean and maintained work area. Other duties as assigned.

Experience



2-3 years' experience as a welder/fitter required. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Knowledgeable on different types of metals and their properties. Familiarity with welding equipment and tools. Strong attention to detail and precision. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge on maintenance and operation of various machinery. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Knowledgeable of safe work practices and precautionary measures.
This position requires a dedicated professional capable of working efficiently while maintaining high safety standards. The successful candidate will be integral to our manufacturing operations by delivering quality craftsmanship on every project.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 - 60 per week
