Job Description

PURPOSE

Fit, cut, weld, grind, mark and bundle structural steel in accordance with customer's orders/shop drawings

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Demonstrate conduct consistent with Procut Steel's vision and values. Be able to measure, fit, weld, grind, mark and bundle steel material Unload trailers and store material in storage bins. Operate overhead crane to move, assemble and select material to be fabricated or shipped. Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping. Operate band saw to cut structural steel materials to specified lengths. Maintain the shop or designated area in a clean and safe manner. Assist other employees in any of the above tasks.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Must have basic math skills to be able to calculate measurements High School Diploma or equivalent

Must be able to know the basics of reading a blueprint or shop drawings

Must be able to work overtime when required Must be able to work any shift Must be familiar with, and adhere to shop safety policies and procedures Some heavy lifting may be necessary Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
