Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, with a focus on quality and precision. This role involves working with metal components to assemble and fabricate products according to specifications, ensuring adherence to safety standards and best practices.

Duties

Perform MIG welding on various materials, ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as plasma cutters, press brake machines, and forklifts for fabrication tasks. Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues during the welding and fitting process. Rig materials safely for lifting using cranes or other equipment when necessary. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and accurately.

Experience

Proven experience in welding and fitting within a manufacturing or construction environment is essential. Familiarity with rigging techniques and the operation of cranes is highly desirable. Proficient in using calipers for precise measurements and basic math skills for calculations related to fabrication tasks. Experience with machining processes is a plus, as well as knowledge of assembly techniques. A strong understanding of MIG welding, and processes to weld various grades of high strength steel.

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
