About the Role

We are seeking an experienced

Welder/Fitter

to join our team. The ideal candidate is skilled in fabricating, fitting, and welding metal components to Alberta industry standards. This role involves working with structural steel, custom metal parts, and engineered blueprints in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

Read, interpret, and work from

blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications

Fabricate and fit metal components with precision Perform

MIG

,

TIG

, and/or

Stick welding

according to project requirements Complete welds in accordance with

CWB / CSA W47.1

standards Operate shop equipment such as: cutting torches grinders drill presses band saws Conduct quality checks and ensure all work meets safety and fabrication requirements Lay out, position, and secure components prior to welding Maintain a clean and safe work area following

Alberta OH&S regulations

Work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines

Qualifications

Journeyman Welder

, 3rd/4th year apprentice, or equivalent experience

CWB certification

(SMAW / FCAW / GMAW) -- current or eligible for renewal Minimum

2-5 years experience

in welding and fitting Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings Experience with structural steel, fabrication, and layout Knowledge of

Alberta Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S)

requirements Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a shop environment Valid

CSA-approved PPE

(steel-toe boots, gloves, etc.)

Assets (Not Required)

Forklift or overhead crane experience Pressure welding background Fabrication shop experience in Alberta manufacturing Ability to weld stainless steel or aluminum
