Comet Welding is looking to add a

Fabricator

/

Welder

for Steel/Aluminum welding. We're seeking hardworking professionals who enjoy meeting challenges and surpassing expectations. Current CWB ticket is an asset.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

Setting up welding machines and selecting the appropriate welding process based on the type of metal and specifications of the job.

Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, or specifications to determine the size, type, and location of the welds to be made.

Operating welding machines to perform a variety of welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Cored welding.

Maintaining welding machines, performing regular checks and preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting any issues that arise.

Maintaining a safe and organized work environment, following all safety procedures, and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.

Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and making any necessary repairs or adjustments.

Work efficiently as a part of a team with communication with other workers with timelines and job requirements.

This position requires a mechanically inclined person with experience using overhead cranes, drills, general shop tools.

This is a full-time position, a valid class 5 license and reliable transportation is required. Our hours of operation are Monday-Friday 7:30AM - 4:30 PM and some Saturdays.
