We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes, blueprint reading, and various welding techniques to produce high-quality products for construction, ductwork, and other manufacturing applications. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with hands-on experience in welding and fabrication to contribute to diverse projects in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine specifications and dimensions.
Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metals, ensuring strong, clean welds that meet quality standards.
Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
Use calipers, measuring tapes, and other precision tools to ensure accurate cuts and assemblies.
Rigging materials and equipment as needed for lifting or positioning components using cranes or forklifts.
Machining parts as required to meet specifications, including cutting, grinding, and shaping metal components.
Assemble fabricated parts according to schematics and assembly instructions while maintaining strict quality control.
Maintain a clean work environment by adhering to safety protocols and proper tool maintenance practices.
Assist in the setup and operation of machinery involved in ductwork, construction projects, or other manufacturing processes.
Follow safety procedures related to welding, machining, rigging, and handling heavy equipment.
Experience
Proven experience in welding (MIG and TIG) with the ability to produce high-quality welds on various metals.
Mechanical knowledge of fabrication processes including plasma cutting, press brake operation, machining, and assembly.
Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings essential for precise fabrication work.
Experience operating cranes, forklifts, power tools, hand tools, calipers, and other fabrication equipment.
Knowledge of rigging techniques for lifting heavy materials safely using cranes or other lifting devices.
Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks.
Prior experience working in manufacturing, construction, ductwork installation or related fields is highly desirable. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to apply their fabrication skills in a dynamic environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality standards.
