We specialize in general repairs and maintenance, welding, parts and trailer sales.

We are currently seeking a candidate for the following position:

Title

: Welder/Fabricator with Mechanical/body work experience (on Semi-Trailers)

Terms of employment

: Permanent, Full time, Days

Credentials

: Welder journeyman or 3rd year apprentice

Experience

: 3 years plus experience in welding/fabricating. 1-2 years' experience in trailer frame straightening and repair. 1 years plus in trailer mechanics/body work.

Specific Skills:



Trouble shoot, inspect, examine and weld to meet standards and specifications

Adjust repair or replace defective parts

Ability to think outside the box when it comes to welding repairs or fabrication.

Confirm measurements and product specifications

Grinding, cutting or drilling material

Utilize power tools, hand tools and welding equipment to complete projects

Mechanical/body work knowledge on trailers

Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Being able to quote welding jobs

Additional Skills:

May be required to share knowledge, maintain maintenance records, update work orders and other documentation as required. The ability to discuss work with the shop foreman or service controller and adjust to a fast-paced environment may also be required.

Requirements

: May not always have 40 hours of welding so some mechanical/body work on trailers will be needed to fill the work hours. Must provide your own steel toed boots and tools. Some positions may also require you to provide a clean driver's abstract.

Kingpin Trailers fosters a continuous learning environment, as such all candidates must be willing to complete their apprenticeship training to the journeyman level. As well as obtain a good working knowledge of preventative maintenance as it pertains to Kingpin's operations.
