Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The primary focus of this position is welding and fabricating chain link gates, custom gates, and various fence components. The ideal candidate will have strong welding skills, attention to detail, and the ability to produce high-quality work consistently. From time to time, this role will also support general yard operations and material handling as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Fabricate chain link gates, custom gates, and various fence components according to drawings and specifications

Perform MIG and STICK welding, cutting, grinding, and general metal fabrication

Ensure all fabricated products meet quality and safety standards

Fabricate jigs, brackets, and custom hardware as needed

Prep materials by cutting, notching, drilling, or bending

Ability to operate saws, presses, and forming equipment

Perform basic maintenance on welding equipment and tools

Assist with measuring, cutting, and preparing materials for production

Maintain a clean and organized work area

Operate tools and equipment safely and responsibly

Load completed products onto company trucks or trailers

Support on-site installations occasionally (if applicable)

Help track material usage and maintain shop inventory levels

Work with Shop Lead or Project Manager to prioritize daily tasks

Support yard operations when required, including loading/unloading materials and picking orders

Assist with material handling tasks such as moving pipe, mesh, panels, and hardware

Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications:

Experience in welding and metal fabrication

Ability to read and interpret basic drawings and measurements

Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Forklift experience is an asset (training can be provided)

Physically able to lift materials and work in a shop/yard environment

Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities

Working Conditions:

Shop based with field welding as required.

Mix of indoor and outdoor work, sometimes in varying weather conditions.

Occasional extended hours to meet client needs or bid deadlines.

Compensation & Benefits:

Wage: $30-$38 depending on experience and performance.
