Job Description



Key Areas of Responsibility

Prepare, cut, fit and weld pieces using various materials mostly stainless steel, sheet metal components;  Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as TIG, PAW and MIG;  Grind (metal blend) cosmetic surfaces;  Melt and apply solder along adjoining edges of workpieces to solder joints;  Assemble drain pipes;  Perform minor repairs to products;  Set up work area with materials, supplies and tools required for assembly;  Assist other teams and perform general work as necessary. Qualifications

Has completed a technical course in welding;  Is able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and welding process specifications;  Demonstrates problem solving ability;  Is teamwork & quality oriented, organized and open to sharing ideas;  Ability to lift up to 20 kg;  Has communication skills in English and/or French (speaking, reading and writing);  Three years of work experience in welding various materials, especially stainless steel, sheet
metal parts; and various techniques and equipment such as plasma cutting, MIG, and especially
TIG in an assembly environment would be an asset;


Ability to use computer technology in the workplace (Computer search – parts number,
drawings, Excel, etc.) would be an asset;  Experience in metal blending and/or polishing surfaces to Class A cosmetic standards would be an asset;  Experience with copper pipe soldering would be an asset;  Ability to operate a forklift would be an asset. Working Conditions

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing/assembly environment. This job requires standing, bending and lifting of objects generally under 20 kg.
Machinery and power tools operation requires the use of safety equipment which may include but not be
limited to; eye safety glasses and hearing protectors. Safety work footwear is mandatory. Regular hours
are 7:00am to 3:30pm - Monday to Friday (40 hours per week).
