Deton Cho Construction Services is seeking to fill the position of a Welder for a permanent full-time position.
What you will do
Under the supervision and direction of the Director of Projects, the Welder is responsible for operating welding equipment in a safe and appropriate manner to ensure equipment, supplies and all materials are readily available and necessary to successfully complete the task at hand. Main duties and responsibilities will include but not limited in areas of construction, auto body shops, and special projects to ensure the completion and success of the company.
A Day in the Life

• Travel to project sites and off-site locations will be required
• Analyzing blueprints and designs
• Finding the right pieces of metal according to the design
• Following all safety and health procedures to avoid accidents and hazards
• Choosing the best equipment to weld specific metals
• Identifying issues and hazards
• Operating angle grinders and other tools
• Lining up specific metal components using calipers, rulers, and clamp pieces
• Perform other duties as required.

What You Bring

• Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a Welder.
• Must have Red Seal certification or Journeyman Welder equivalent to qualify for position.
• Must have current certificates in Standard First Aid, WHMIS 2015, and keep them updated as required.
• Ability to come up with unusual or clever ideas about products, services or situations, or to develop creative ways to solve a problem.
