Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Welder Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist skilled welders in various tasks related to the fabrication and assembly of metal structures. This role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and a willingness to learn and grow within the welding trade.

Responsibilities

Assist welders in preparing materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal surfaces. Help assemble components according to blueprints and schematics. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Support the fabrication of ductwork and other metal structures as required. Utilize plasma cutting techniques under the supervision of experienced welders. Load and unload materials using forklifts or cranes, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency. Follow all safety guidelines and practices while performing tasks.

Skills

Proficiency in using hand tools for assembly and fabrication tasks. Basic understanding of blueprint reading and schematic interpretation. Familiarity with crane operations is a plus. Experience with plasma cutting techniques is advantageous. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Willingness to learn new skills related to welding and fabrication processes.

Pay: $17.60-$22.00 per hour
