Responsibilities



Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding techniques on diverse materials including sheet metal, ductwork, and piping. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute fabrication tasks. Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape and assemble metal components. Measure materials precisely with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure accurate cuts and welds. Conduct pipe threading, assembly, rigging, and mechanical installation in accordance with industry standards such as ASME codes & standards. Operate forklifts and other machinery safely to transport materials within the worksite or manufacturing floor. Apply basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control checks during fabrication processes. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to welding, machining, soldering, and construction site practices. Collaborate with team members on projects involving fabrication of structural steel, ductwork, or custom metal assemblies. Assist with schematics interpretation for complex assembly or repair tasks involving mechanical systems or piping layouts.

Experience



Proven construction site experience or background working in manufacturing environments involving metal fabrication. Hands-on experience with MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW processes, and welding techniques. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings related to metal fabrication projects. Competence in using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment. Knowledge of rigging practices and mechanical assembly procedures within construction or manufacturing settings. Ability to operate forklifts safely along with basic machining skills including pipe threading and plasma cutting. Understanding of ASME codes & standards applicable to welding and fabrication work. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and quality assurance.
