Welder Fitter
Job Description
Smith Steel is a family owned manufacturing facility located in Atwood Ontario. We are actively recruiting for an experienced Welder-Fitter. This is a permanent full time position 44 hours a week (daytime) and we offer benefits including periodic bonuses, Disability benefits, Medical benefits, Dental benefits, Life insurance and Long Term Disability benefits
We welcome candidates with 5 years or more of experience but we are willing to train and apprentice for those who are eager to learn.

Gas metal arc welding (GMAW), Flux core arc welding (FCAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)
Summary
In the role of a Welder-Fitter, you will be essential in fabricating and assembling metal structures, ensuring high-quality workmanship. You will utilize core skills such as blueprint reading, welding techniques, and power tools to meet project specifications. Your premium skills in MIG and TIG welding, along with mechanical knowledge, will enhance your effectiveness in this position. Additionally, your relevant experience in manufacturing and construction will support our commitment to excellence and safety in all operations. Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications. Utilize hand and power tools for welding tasks, ensuring precision and safety. Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials, adhering to quality standards. Conduct rigging and lifting operations safely, using cranes and forklifts as necessary. Collaborate with team members in manufacturing and assembly processes to meet project deadlines. Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition for optimal performance.

Pay: $25.00-$34.00 per hour
