Job Description


Waste Connections of Canada has an immediate opening for a Welder to join our team in Kingston, ON to refurbish and repair Front end and Roll off containers. We are looking for a skilled trade's person that likes a variety of tasks and can take direction to learn new skills. The ideal candidate can fabricate and weld using mig, Tig and Arc in most positions. Working with a team of truck mechanics assisting them from time to time with light repairs and or rebuilds of compactors and other equipment. Location: 1150 Gardiners Road Kingston, ON Pay rate: $26.74/hr. Shift: Monday - Friday 3pm - 12:30am Requirements:

  • Safety minded individual
  • Must be able to lift 50 LBS
  • Able to work independently
  • Able to run an overhead crane is an asset
  • Takes pride in doing a great job
  • Able to weld MIG, ARC, and TIG
  • Able to fabricate
  • Able to weld up hand
  • Fork lift operator certified is an asset
  • Work well with others in a fast passed shop environment
  • Painting of bins is a requirement
  • Able to work over time when needed
