We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate

Health Care Aide

to join our healthcare team in

Bearspaw

You will be caring for a

6.4 ft tall male client recovering from surgery

, delivering high-quality assistance in a home care setting. This position offers consistent weekday hours in a supportive environment where your skills are valued and your contribution truly matters.

NOTE: Must be able to drive!

Position Details

Location:

Bearspaw Community

Schedule:

Saturdays & Sundays

Time:

7:00 AM - 1:00 PM and 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM (8-hour split shift)

Rate:

$20/hour (contract position)

Type of Care:

Personal care, homemaking, and meal preparation

Mobility Support:

Transfers using Hoyer lift and commode

Responsibilities

Observe and monitor the client's overall health status, reporting any changes promptly Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility Safely perform transfers using a

Hoyer lift

and assist with commode use Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and documentation protocols Provide post-surgical care with sensitivity, professionalism, and respect Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary needs are met Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment, including light housekeeping and laundry Accurately document care and observations using EMR/EHR systems Follow infection control, privacy, and HIPAA compliance standards at all times

Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience caring for seniors or individuals with complex care needs Strong understanding of ADLs, post-surgical support, and safe transfer techniques Experience using

Hoyer lifts

and assisting with mobility devices Knowledge of medical terminology and care documentation practices Ability to efficiently use EMR/EHR systems CPR certification required Compassionate, reliable, and professional communicator Familiarity with home and community care standards
