Weekend Cook (Part-time) - Downtown Toronto
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team in the role of
Weekend Cook
. This position is essential to ensuring that our food service operations run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with experience in food preparation, cooking and displaying finished food products. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality prepared foods while adhering to food safety standards.
The Cook is looked to contribute towards quality food products, sales and customer satisfaction by:
Familiar with preparing and cooking high quality prepared foods according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen areas.
Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients.
Passionate about food and willing to learn more!
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages.
Maintaining product displays
Providing exceptional customer service
What we are looking for:
A minimum of 2 years experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for handling food.
Strong skills in meal preparation and cooking techniques.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong customer service and communication skills for interacting with team members and customers.
A passion for providing exceptional food service and customer satisfaction.
