RAPS is Seeking a weekend Support Worker to assist an Individual with Autism (E145)

Location

: North West Edmonton (Dickinsfield)

Days: Saturday and Sunday

Hours: 4 hours each day, Start time 11am OR 1pm

: Duties include but are not limited to: building a positive relationship with client & family, medication administration, personal care (toileting - commode, assistance with hygiene and dressing), preparing snacks, working with the family to meet client goals, light housekeeping (laundry), documentation (communication book), supervision, and companionship.

Qualifications and Other Requirements: The successful candidate must have a clear criminal record check containing the vulnerable sector, have a strong understanding for those with special needs and/or complex needs, be a non-smoker, and possess a valid First-Aid & CPR Certificate (or be willing to obtain within first 3 months of employment). Ideal candidate will be proactive, and motivated to encourage client to step out of their comfort zone. Driver's license/vehicle is a strong asset.

Preference given to those who have experience with Autism, Extreme Sensory Dysregulation, and OCD.

Rate of Pay: $18.00 hour
