Yonge Cafe and Bistro
We have an opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic Weekend Brunch Server, (preferable with experience as Barista - Latte Art), to join us at our North York Coffee shop location for our busy weekend Brunch service.

Yonge Cafe is located just one block south of the North York Civic Centre Subway station and a TTC Bus stop just steps away on Yonge and North York Blvd.

The hours for this position will be Saturdays and/or Sundays within the time frame from 9:30am or 10:30 to 3:00/3:30pm. If you are applying, please ensure you are available during this timeframe.

Experience:

Exceptional Customer Service is critical Experience in Food industry is preferred Will require high level of English-speaking skills Speaking Spanish and knowledge of Mexican food is an asset, but not required Experience working in a Restaurant or Coffee Shop is preferable Experience in a dynamic and lean environment performing diverse responsibilities. Experience preparing Hot / Cold drinks and skilled in Latte Art preferable. Food Handling Certification, preferred.
Duties and responsibilities

Works well independently and in a team setting Maintains sanitation and cleanliness standards at all times, that meet or exceed the provincial and local Health Board inspection Master the customer service experience by passionately and friendlily communicating our menu to our customers, taking accurate orders & delivering an excellent service. Assist in maintaining the flow of the orders. Consistent respectful, positive attitude and teamwork Experience in or ready to learn to prepare Hot & Cold drinks, such as brewed, specialty coffees and teas, smoothies & juices. Overall cleaning close activities are part of the work requirements
Physical requirements

Standing for long periods of time Pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 25lb at times when required

Pay: $17.60 per hour
