Responsibilities

Perform a wide range of dental procedures including general dentistry, dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery with precision and care Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, to develop effective treatment plans Utilize dental terminology clearly to explain diagnoses and treatment options to patients, ensuring understanding and comfort Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office protocols Apply aseptic techniques and infection control procedures diligently to ensure patient safety and prevent cross-contamination Operate dental imaging equipment effectively for diagnostic purposes while adhering to radiation safety standards Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize workflow and patient comfort during procedures Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other specialties relevant to patient care

Skills

Proficiency in dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, charting, and record keeping Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control protocols Experience in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, root canal therapy, dental fabrication, and general dentistry procedures Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs compassionately and effectively Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards for maintaining confidentiality Ability to perform dental extractions safely and efficiently while maintaining aseptic technique Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and proper use of dental radiography equipment Previous experience working in a fast-paced dental office or clinic environment is highly preferred
