Tundra is excited to announce an opportunity for a Weed Control & Lease Maintenance Coordinator (18-month term), based in our Estevan office.


The Weed Control & Lease Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for coordinating timely and cost-effective weed control across all Tundra sites, including surface leases and Right-of-Ways (ROWs). This role serves as the primary contact for landowners and rural municipalities (RMs), maintaining strong relationships and addressing any concerns. The coordinator also ensures all activities comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

REPORTS TO

: Surface Land Manager

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

:

Supervise and coordinate spray contractors to ensure effective weed control across all Tundra properties Communicate with operations teams to clarify their responsibilities related to weed management Approve and monitor the use of herbicides, ensuring proper chemical selection and application timing Collaborate with rural municipalities (RMs) to ensure compliance with all local requirements Coordinate the Right-of-Way (ROW) rehabilitation program, including conducting vegetation growth assessments Maintain positive relationships with landowners by involving them in the process and addressing concerns promptly Resolve outstanding complaints and issues with landowners and occupants Settle damage claims with landowners and occupants in a timely and fair manner Issue Safe Work Permits for all survey activities on site Update ArcMap with new data, including: + Damaged areas for landowner compensation
+ New access roads to well sites
+ New approach installations

WHAT YOU NEED:



High school diploma Post-Secondary Education in Agriculture or Environmental Sciences is considered an asset

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:



Experience working with the public and building positive relationships with landowners and occupants Farming background or strong understanding of agricultural operations Familiarity with the geographic areas where Tundra operates Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Strong working knowledge of ArcMap Valid certifications: + H2S Alive
+ First Aid & CPR
+ Ground Disturbance Level II
Knowledge of, or willingness to obtain certification in: + Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)
+ Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
+ Defensive Driving
Knowledge of oilfield production and operations is a strong asset

OTHER DETAILS:



This role is primarily field-based and requires the majority of time to be spent on-site Standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with flexibility to work overtime as needed Must be willing to accommodate landowner schedules, which may include early mornings, evenings, or weekends On-call availability is required Must hold a valid Class 5 driver's license Tundra Oil & Gas Limited is committed to protecting the health and safety of all individuals involved in our business activities, and the communities where we live and work.
