Position: Part-Time/Casual Event Assistant



Responsibilities:

As an Event Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution of weddings and events. Your responsibilities will include:

Collaborating with the Wedding Planner to ensure the flawless setup of event spaces, including reception areas, cocktail spaces, bars, and ceremony spaces. Arranging and organizing tables, chairs, linens, dishes, cutlery, glassware, stationery, favors, centerpieces, and other event elements. Greeting and assisting guests with a warm and welcoming demeanor. Coordinating and overseeing guest services, including directing guests to their seats and addressing their needs. Executing precise movement of tables, chairs, and decor items as per event requirements. Following setup instructions with meticulous attention to detail to achieve the desired ambiance. Assisting in troubleshooting and problem-solving during events to ensure smooth operations. Collaborating with other team members to support various event-related duties and tasks.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following:

Availability to work evenings and weekends. Reliable transportation and a cell phone. Exceptional time management skills and attention to detail. Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all staff. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and team members. Professional attire Ability to work in a predominantly standing position for extended periods. Experience working in the events or hospitality industry. Ability to safely move and lift items up to 50 lbs. Willingness to undergo training sessions as required.

Availability:



Evening & Weekends. Approximately 2-4 events per month (5-8 hour shifts). Start time varies between 11 am - 1 pm; End time varies between 5 pm - 10 pm. Seasonal hours from May to October.
