The Wedding and Event Sales Coordinator actively promotes and sells Cornerstone venues for predominantly weddings, but also meetings and other events. They fully organize and plan events and communicate with both the wedding couple or event organizer and internal departments (Executive Chef, Event Manager, Set Up Manager).

Duties:

Promoting and selling Cornerstone venues for weddings and special events, with a focus on meeting and exceeding annual sales targets. Creating new business and sales leads. Performing wedding coordinator duties for wedding parties: promoting and selling wedding services, organizing and planning the ceremony and reception, communicating with the wedding couple, communicating with any suppliers involved, and providing on-site coordination the day of the event to ensure everything runs smoothly. Planning, designing, and coordinating events from start to finish, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for those attending the event. Conducting tours of the venues, including the banquet rooms and ceremony sites. Creating timelines for weddings, including the ceremony and reception. Performing administrative duties for all events (including hosting food tastings and planning meetings) and responding to all emails in a timely manner. Communicating event details with all internal departments, including the Event Manager, Set-up Manager, Production and Maintenance Manager, and the Executive Chef. Liaising with the Set-up Team to ensure the decoration of the wedding venue is according to the client's specifications. Representing Cornerstone at tradeshows. Pitching new products and ideas to the Assistant General Manager in an effort to increase revenue. Keeping up to date with industry trends. Maintaining positive customer and business relationships and resolving customer concerns regarding sales and service in a professional and timely manner. Responding immediately and appropriately to any situations, including emergency situations, that may arise in preparation for, or during, the event.
Experience:

Proven experience as a Wedding or Event Coordinator or experience organizing professional events. A background in sales or promotion with the ability to offer and sell additional services and upgrades to clients. Superior guest services skills with the ability to anticipate needs and provide exceptional service, along with good negotiation skills. Excellent communication and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. Hospitality background with knowledge of industry trends and best practices. Organizational skills to keep track of all details and ensure nothing is overlooked. Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
