POSITION OVERVIEW



We're looking for a

part-time Website & SEO Manager

who will own our website service delivery from build completion through ongoing optimization. You'll work between our website builder (Clarence) and our clients, ensuring every site we deliver ranks well, performs well, and keeps clients sticky long-term.

This is a part-time role right now (15-25 hrs/week) managing approximately 15-20 active website clients and 3-5 new builds per month.

As our website client base grows, this has clear potential to expand to full-time.

This isn't just about building websites or checking SEO boxes. You're managing projects, solving problems, training clients on their systems, and spotting opportunities to improve our processes through automation.

You'll be successful here if you:



Can take ownership of ambiguous problems and create structure Enjoy building systems and documenting processes as you go Are comfortable with client communication (you'll send reports and field questions) Can work independently but know when to escalate or ask for input Think "how can I automate this?" before "how do I do this manually?"
YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES -

Website Project Management (40% of time)



Manage website builds from handoff to launch:

Review Clarence's initial builds using a QA checklist Identify errors, missing elements, SEO issues before client sees it Send revision requests to Clarence with clear, specific feedback Coordinate with clients on revisions, approval, feedback cycles Handle domain transfers, DNS configuration, hosting setup

Own the technical backend:



Set up Google Analytics tracking codes Configure Search Console and submit sitemaps Register phone numbers for A2P10DLC compliance Set up reporting systems in Search Atlas Handle blog migrations and redirect mapping when needed

Manage client communication:



Send preview links and gather feedback Get on calls when needed to walk through revisions CC'd on all website-related emails, triage and respond appropriately

SEO Optimization & Ongoing Management (35% of time)



Initial site optimization:

Run keyword analysis for each client's market/location Optimize page structure (H1s, H2s, meta descriptions, alt tags) Update content based on keyword research Set up and optimize Google My Business profiles Create local business listings where beneficial Add schema code and other technical SEO setups

Monthly optimization & reporting:



Monitor site performance in Search Atlas Review heat maps and user behavior data Make ongoing adjustments to improve rankings Send monthly website performance reports to clients Identify and fix technical SEO issues as they arise

Content systems:



Build/manage automated blog posting system (AI-assisted) Create keyword-targeted blog content that helps rankings Ensure blogs are optimized and link internally Make sites "stickier" so clients see ongoing value

Process Building & Automation (15% of time)



Create the systems you wish existed:

Build checklists, templates, SOPs for repeatable tasks Identify automation opportunities (AI, Zapier, n8n) Create Loom training videos for common client questions Build client-facing tutorial content in their portal

Improve the operation:

Spot patterns in client questions ? create preventive documentation Find bottlenecks in the website delivery process ? fix them Suggest tools or workflows that could make things more efficient Work with our operations manager (Mary) to implement improvements

Team Collaboration & Communication (10% of time)



Manage relationship with Clarence (our website builder in the Philippines) Participate in weekly team check-ins Update leadership on project status, blockers, wins Collaborate with Client Success team when website issues affect client satisfaction Flag opportunities to upsell or expand client relationships
WORK ENVIRONMENT & EXPECTATIONS

Communication

: We primarily use Slack for internal communication. Responsive communication is essential to our team's success.

Meetings

: Team meetings/daily huddles are conducted via Zoom (Tuesday-Friday, 11:00AM EST, ~15min).

Work Schedule

: Our core hours are 10-6PM ET.

Work Location

YOU'LL EXCEL IN THIS ROLE IF YOU:

2+ years experience with SEO

- You know keyword research, on-page optimization, local SEO, and can explain it clearly

Experience with website project management

- You've coordinated builds, handled revisions, dealt with domain transfers and DNS

Proficiency with SEO tools

- Comfortable learning Search Atlas (or similar: Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz)

Strong written English communication

- You'll write client emails, reports, and documentation daily

Self-directed work style

- We're remote, async-friendly, and need someone who drives their own projects

Technical comfort

- GoHighLevel, DNS records, Google Analytics, tracking pixels, CMS platforms don't intimidate you.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



GoHighLevel experience

- This is our website platform; if you know it, you're ahead

Experience with fitness/wellness businesses

- Understanding the industry helps with keyword research and optimization

Google Ads knowledge

- Some of our SEO work intersects with paid ads (keyword overlap, landing page optimization)

AI/automation familiarity

- Can you build a ChatGPT custom GPT? Set up a Zapier workflow? We want that curiosity

Agency background

- You've managed multiple client projects simultaneously and understand service delivery

ClickUp or similar PM tool experience

- That's how we track website projects

Bonus Points:



You've built systems from scratch before (not just followed existing processes) You can spot when something should be automated vs. done manually You've trained clients on technical platforms before You have design sensibility (not graphic design, but you know what makes a page work)

What Success Looks LikeFirst 30 Days:



Shadow 5 website builds end-to-end to understand current process Take over QA review of Clarence's builds using documented checklist Successfully launch 3 websites with minimal supervision Identify and document 3 process improvements or gaps

First 90 Days:



Own entire website delivery process from Clarence handoff to client launch Send monthly reports to all website clients Build automated blog posting system for at least 5 clients Create client-facing tutorial content (Looms or written guides) Reduce Alec's involvement in website projects to zero

First 6 Months:



Manage 20-30 active website clients with monthly optimization Handle 3-5 new website builds per month smoothly Build and document SOPs for all major website processes Identify and implement 2-3 significant automation improvements Proactively spot opportunities for client expansion (blog services, advanced SEO packages)
