The Opportunity


Keyano College's Public Engagement Department is currently seeking a Website Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This position plays a key role in shaping the College's online presence by managing website content, optimizing SEO, and coordinating digital marketing efforts. The Website Coordinator works closely with various departments to enhance the College's visibility and support its communication strategies.



Note: This position is an on-site role and does not offer remote or hybrid work options. Presence on campus is required.

Duties & Responsibilities


Managing and maintaining the Keyano College website to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and engaging content. Providing website analytics and optimizing SEO for increased visibility. Maintaining content calendars and collaborating with departments to ensure timely updates. Managing website requests from internal departments and training staff on web content best practices. Developing and executing paid ad campaigns on platforms like Google and Meta. Tracking and analyzing digital marketing campaigns for performance optimization. Creating and curating visual content for social media and digital marketing efforts. Supporting media relations and public relations initiatives, including writing press releases and news stories. Conducting interviews and developing content highlighting students, faculty, alumni, and donors. Assisting in crisis communication efforts and reputation management. Ensuring branding consistency across departments and platforms.

Qualifications


Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field. Minimum two (2) years of experience in communications, web content management, or digital marketing. Strong knowledge of SEO best practices and web analytics tools (Google Analytics). Experience with web content management systems (CMS). Proficiency in social media management and paid digital advertising. Strong writing, proofreading, and content creation skills. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint. Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and meet tight deadlines. Knowledge of Alberta's Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) legislation is an asset

Compensation and Benefits


Compensation is $73,890.09 (CUPE TS7) with the following health and benefit package. Employer paid comprehensive health and dental benefits, including a health spending account. Generous defined benefit pension plan though LAPP starting on day 1 of employment. This position qualifies for additional payment of the Northern Living Allowance of $1,040.00 per month. Generous vacation entitlement and the bonus of paid holidays between Christmas and New Years Life insurance is 2.5 times your annual salary Paid sick days

Note: this is not a remote or hybrid work opportunity, you will be required to work on campus and relocate to Fort McMurray, AB.
