This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned developer who thrives at the intersection of hands-on coding and architectural leadershipAgilus is recruiting for a Web Software Senior Developer/Architect in the Software Development Industry in a hybrid work environment in London, Ontario. We are seeking a Senior Web Software Developer/Architect to join our London, Ontario team. This is a leadership role that combines hands-on development with architectural design and project oversight. A typical day:

  • Lead and actively contribute to the software development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
  • Architect and maintain scalable, high-quality web-based solutions and services.
  • Enhance and support existing systems by introducing new components and services.
  • Define, document, and enforce coding standards, best practices, and technical guidelines.
  • Conduct code reviews, ensuring high-quality deliverables across the team.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business goals into technical solutions, project plans, and timelines.
  • Manage project milestones, deliverables, and deadlines while aligning expectations with stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and prioritize resolution of reported issues in alignment with project goals.
Must have:
  • 5+ years professional programming experience with Microsoft .NET (C#), with strong object-oriented design expertise.
  • 5+ years working across multiple languages, frameworks, and tools: JSON, REST, SOAP, HTML5/XHTML, XML/DOM, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, AJAX.
  • Demonstrated expertise in architecting, documenting, and implementing complex web-based applications.
  • Strong knowledge of database-driven backends (MS SQL), including modeling, optimization, and query performance.
  • Proficiency with abstraction layers (preferably Entity Framework) and MVC frameworks
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Azure services (e.g., App Services) and cloud-based solution design.
  • Experience designing and documenting APIs using RESTful JSON methodologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Further additional qualifications:
  • Experience with issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with internationalization/localization standards and encoding requirements.
  • Knowledge of web server software and configuration
  • Strong understanding of UI/UX best practices.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in scheduled or emergency on-call support (remote).
  • Proficiency with both Windows and Linux OS, including advanced troubleshooting and scripting.
