If so, consider this opportunity as a Web Communications Officer with the Land and Resources Cluster (LRC) within the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement.



About the Strategy, Transformation and People Unit




The Strategy, Transformation and People unit within the Office of the Chief Information Officer branch focuses on setting strategic direction and priorities, managing workforce strategy and programs, leading culture programs and events, and overseeing strategic communications.

You will be responsible for:

Developing and maintaining compelling web-based communications products (intranet and internet), including text, images, and videos. Providing advice and technical support on web-based applications and electronic communications using various media. Conducting communications-related training sessions, including logistics and material preparation. Assisting with the management of special events, conferences, and media opportunities by organizing stakeholder meetings, compiling information packages, and designing visual displays. Supporting issues management by summarizing background material, preparing issue sheets and briefing notes, drafting letters for senior management, and monitoring and summarizing media coverage

What you bring to the team

Technical skills:




You have:


experience with graphics, desktop publishing, internet/web software and applications (e.g., Adobe Acrobat, Visio, Publisher). experience applying contemporary communication and public relations best practice methods and techniques. the ability to interpret and apply communications policies and guidelines (e.g., visual identity standards).

Creative communication skills:




You can:


demonstrate written communication skills to write issue sheets, briefing notes, and backgrounders translate technical language to clear language in required format, tone, and style design innovative and creative visual displays and exhibits

Interpersonal skills:



You have interpersonal skills to provide information and answer inquiries when organizing special events, conferences and public meetings

Event organization expertise:




You have:


the ability to coordinate and deliver a variety of support services for special events and conferences knowledge of special events organization to organize tours, arrange for public meetings, prepare media kits, and set-up visual displays
