Key Responsibilities:

Deliver course content in web development, mobile application development, front-end and back-end technologies, and software engineering principles using various instructional methods (in-person and online). Lead the development and design of the new Web and Mobile Application Development program, creating course materials, labs, and assessments from the ground up. Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments in alignment with curriculum standards. Provide mentorship, guidance, and academic support to students. Evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, and projects, and provide constructive feedback. Stay current with trends, frameworks, languages, and tools in web and mobile application development. Participate in curriculum development and program reviews to ensure industry relevance. Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance. Collaborate with academic staff and administration to support student achievement and program outcomes.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Information Technology, or a related field (Masters preferred). Minimum 35 years of professional experience in web and mobile application development. Previous teaching, training, or mentoring experience at the post-secondary level is an asset. Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills. Proficiency with modern web and mobile development frameworks and languages (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, Node.js, Flutter, React Native). Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to students from diverse backgrounds.
