Our expectations
Reporting to the Business Intelligence Manager, the Web Analyst\'s main responsibility is to measure the performance of RONA\'s campaign and channel initiatives that tie into the Marketing department\'s objectives across its digital properties. To that end, they will also be responsible for creating and maintaining online/offline reporting solutions that will help stakeholders make more informed, data-driven decisions.
Building on strong analytical skills, the Web Analyst is tasked with the collection, analysis, and communication of a wide variety of data from which findings are assessed, learnings drawn, and business recommendations made. Using web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics, they will develop both ad-hoc and recurring reporting solutions that highlight key data and analytics trends as well as opportunities for improvement. They must have the ability to effortlessly condense results into impactful and actionable insights that will be presented to-and will need to be easily understood by-various stakeholders.
The Web Analyst boasts strong data storytelling and problem-solving skills, essential for processing complex data from which valuable conclusions can be drawn for the business. They are also results-oriented and can prioritize based on importance and urgency.
Your role
Support (primarily, but not exclusively) the Media Acquisition team within Marketing with digital performance analytics
Analyze and simplify complex behavioural, customer, and financial data into easy-to-understand, actionable insights, and recommendations
Design, build, and maintain ad hoc and self-serve dashboards using data visualization tools such as: Power Query (Power BI), Adobe Analytics, and Google Analytics, in support of the business\' campaign and channel performance initiatives and objectives
Communicate findings effectively across various levels of the organization including the Senior Leadership Team
Identify improvement opportunities that tie in with the business objectives of the organization on an ongoing basis
Partner with various internal stakeholders to enhance current analytics capabilities by designing automated business solutions that drive efficiency and foster a climate in which data-driven decisions are made
The qualifications we are looking for
Bachelor\'s degree in marketing, e-commerce, information technology, computer science, business intelligence, or a similar field
At least 2 to 4 years of experience in web analytics
Thorough knowledge and understanding of campaign management platforms
Advanced knowledge of data modeling and visualization tools (Power BI, Adobe Analytics Workspace, MicroStrategy), and Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience in media acquisition (an asset)
At least 2 years of experience as a power user for Google Analytics and Google Ads
Self-reliance, ability to deal with ambiguity, and capacity to tackle complex problems proactively and independently
Product, marketing, web development, and/or retail background (an asset)
