About the role




Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. is seeking a Weapons Engineering Technician to join our Technical Training team. The ISD Weapons Engineering is a technical role responsible for analysis, design and development of training products and services across domestic and international programs. The ISD will report to the Training Technical Operations Associate Manager and will support individual technical work across multiple programs. The ISD will work alongside key internal stakeholders to ensure the delivered training solutions meets the high standards and specific needs of our domestic and international customers. The ideal candidate will be proactive, energetic, creative and flexible in meeting our customers' needs. The successful candidate will be a Naval Weapons Engineering Subject Matter Expert working within the training team environment and will contribute to LM Canada training projects by being responsible for:

Contributing to the Master Training Plan and maintenance training material as it directly relates to a variety of navies' standards including the Qualification Standard and Plan and related policy documentation Contributing to Maintainer Master Lesson Plans and supporting related activities including media analysis, production of student handouts, instructor guides, quizzes, tests, assignments and other presentation materials based predominately on a knowledge of the maintenance of CMS 330, Radar, IFF and other integrated components Establishing a detailed understanding with regards to the Weapon Engineering Technician Training courses and standards Supporting Computer-Based Training activities through data collection, storyboarding/scripting, reviews, workshops, and other related activities Supporting the courseware review cycle by updating training materials and documentation based on customer review activities and through regular liaison with technical and development staff Support a flexible work schedule, including travel and overtime when necessary to support program, team, and customer schedules

What you bring to the role




What you bring to the role:Recent experience or a demonstrated capacity to develop maintainer training courseware material Background in the maintenance of CMS 330, Radar and IFF systems Knowledge of maintenance philosophy principles and concepts A solid working knowledge of the Microsoft Office product suite including MS Project Experience with training analysis, course scheduling, training materials development and training conduct Strong analytical and communication skills Ability to perform analysis of maintenance documents to support training development and identify critical gaps in information Ability to learn new skills and support multiple tasks when required Effectively work in a team environment and collaborating with other teams Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience

Additional skills desired for the role




Experience with eLearning software (Storyline, domiKnow) and Learning Management Systems is considered an asset Experience with military training environments including synthetic training solutions considered an asset It is considered an asset to have experience as an instructor at Canadian Forces Fleet School Atlantic or Pacific coupled with an understanding of the DND training system (Canadian Forces Individual Training and Education System (CFITES) Bilingualism Aptitude for solving challenging problems in a team environment Strong organizational and planning skills Ability to embrace change Performing assigned tasks with minimal supervision
