Position Overview:
The Wealth Protection Coordinator is a member of our Wealth Protection Team and is passionate about creating a remarkable member experience by leveraging personal expertise, know-how and commitment. This role is responsible for providing day to day administration and insurance sales support to the Wealth Protection Specialist (WPS) and Wealth Protection Associate (WPA).

As active business partners, the Wealth Protection Coordinator takes proactive ownership to ensure that all back-office business activities are completed seamlessly, efficiently and in a timely manner. This includes but is not limited to managing referrals both externally and internally, ensuring that entry of all member details into Salesforce CRM, follow up, and related tasks and activities are completed correctly. As Wealth Protection Coordinator, you will efficiently and effectively assist with member file maintenance, processing incoming and outgoing mail, courier requests and ensuring that all documentation is correct and has been completed accurately, and processed in a timely manner with the appropriate follow up. By supporting the Wealth Protection Team, the Wealth Protection Coordinator partners to optimize business growth, fulfilling an integral role in building and maintaining member relationships and cultivating loyalty.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Proudly the first point of contact for new and existing insurance portfolio members; takes ownership, handles all incoming inquiries and requests.
  • Partners actively with internal and external colleagues to provide the right service or expertise to deliver on a remarkable member experience.
  • Receives, reviews, accurately and efficiently processes all account/policy documents for Insurance/Planning platforms.
  • Identifies and resolves compliance queries and processing errors while mitigating any impact to the member experience.
  • Organizes and prepares for monthly/quarterly meetings with WPS/WPA to ensure practice is on track, follows up and preps for meetings.
  • Collaborate with WPS/WPA on developing and implementing business plans, weekly, monthly, and annually, working toward successful achievement of sales targets.
  • Ensures member householding activities and CRM workflows are actively maintained to ensure strong ongoing member experience is upheld.
  • Creates an exceptional member experience through proactive, empathetic Insurance Administration support and advocacy. Acting as liaison between Aviso Wealth and/or the Insurance Company and the member to ensure all required documentation is received to settle/service policies and that the WPS/WPA and member are kept apprised of progress.
  • Proactively identifies and addresses process and procedure challenges and makes recommendations on process improvements to innovate and elevate our business best practice.
  • Maintains and coordinates collaborative schedules for WPS/WPA; proactively identifies and makes appointments for members, manages member policy review/portfolio process.
  • Provides regular reporting on the business, supports pipeline management activities, and is an active part of ongoing relationship service outreach.
  • Collects, summarizes, and assembles information as required for member presentations and coordinates internal and external member events.
  • Remains current on organizational practices, policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
  • Maintains a high degree of product and service knowledge, spanning insurance, wealth and credit union key offers.
  • Acts as a resource to other staff within the department and across the organization.
Experience and/or Education:
  • High School Diploma.
  • Finance related post-secondary is an asset.
  • 3 - 4 years of experience in insurance industry, administration, sales support, and/or combined experience within connectFirst Credit Union.
  • Knowledge of financial planning, insurance products, policies, procedures, and operations.
  • LLQP designation an asset, expectation is to become LLQP certified within 12 months of being in role.
  • Working towards or completed a certificate, diploma, degree, or designation program.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
  • Any other industry related certificates or qualifications that will contribute to team success and growth.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Insurance Product Knowledge/Selling and/or Servicing Experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the insurance and investment industry products, processes and procedures, trade processing rules, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of connectFirst Credit Union products, services, and partners.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong communications skills; both written and verbal.
  • Strong computer skills: able to pick up new and existing programs related to the job quickly.
  • Strong aptitude for numbers with fast and accurate data entry skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Strong attention to detail.
