Job Description


Watershed Technician The Seine Rat Roseau Watershed District is now accepting applications from individuals for the full time, contract position of Watershed Technician. Duties include: Reporting to the SRRWD Manager, the Watershed Technician will work 35 hours a week, including some evening meetings and be primarily responsible for district wide delivery of SRRWD Livestock Management Programming and SRRWD Rain Garden Programming. The Watershed Technician will also be secondarily responsible for assisting in the implementation of projects related to riparian area management, soil health, water retention/surface water management. Qualifications:

  • degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in agriculture, geography, natural resource management, or similar
  • Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working outdoors
  • Experience with Microsoft Office & Arc GIS
  • Class 5 driver\xe2\x80\x99s license
Salary: $45,000 - $50,000 This position will be split as required between the SRRWD offices located in Steinbach and Vita, MB. Compensation is commensurate with experience. Benefits will be available after a probationary period.
