Qualifications

:

To excel in this role, you must have the following skills:

ability to multitask with focus and operate multiple machines

mechanical knowledge and proficiency in operating an Multi Brand Waterjet

ability to examine parts for quality assurance, stop processes if errors are found, and implement remedies to any issue found

proficient at using calipers and micrometers to measure parts to be within specifications

ability to read drawings and interpret details

ability to comprehend and follow instructions

proficient in basic math calculations for measuring and understanding fractional and decimal equivalents

can communicate effectively in English (speaking, reading and writing independently)

are motivated to learn new skills and take pride in delivering quality products

have experience operating a forklift & crane

have excellent safety hygiene and common sense

be able to stand for the duration of your shift

Duties:

operate, monitor and maintain our Multi Brand Waterjet

cut parts from sheets of steel with accuracy to the expected tight tolerance

prepare cut blanks for shipping to subcontractors

receive heat treated blanks from subcontractors

inspect waterjet cut blanks for quality and accuracy

complete paperwork in a legible and complete manner

organize consumables and perform monthly inventory counts

perform routine maintenance on the Waterjet and Surface Grinder to keep them in optimal condition

troubleshoot and diagnose issues with the Waterjet and make necessary adjustments or repairs

communicate any issues with the Waterjet and Surface Grinder to our Production Manager

follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

ensure machines are shut down at the end of each day and ready for the next day

assist your team members with various tasks in the production processes, inventory control and shop housekeeping and organization as required

ability to lift minimum 50lbs
