Water Truck Assistant

Harco Developments has been operating for over 30 years and is one of Calgary's leading landscape construction contractors providing the market with construction services in the building and maintenance of entry features, boulevards, parks, storm ponds, sports fields, and other green spaces within new communities on behalf of our clients.

We are currently looking for someone to join our team as a water truck assistant.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Work closely with our water truck driver to help with specific tasks such as pulling hose and inspecting the health and moisture levels of plant material on new and established sites Water plant material appropriately to encourage establishment and growth Communicate with your supervisor throughout the day to relay information including plans, location, progress, and any problems that arise Work independently and follow instructions with integrity Maintain a rapid pace and demanding schedule including long workdays Perform labour intensive tasks and be willing to get your hands dirty Weekend availability is mandatory
Experience and Qualifications:

Class 5 License with clean 3-Year Drivers Abstract Experience in a role where you were responsible for the health and maintenance of trees and shrubs including testing and adjusting soil moisture levels at the root ball Experience in the field of commercial landscape maintenance including planting trees, shrubs and grasses is an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 9 months

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 55 - 65 per week
