PurposeAs a Water Treatment Technical Sales Representative, you will strive to grow our business through supporting existing accounts within an established territory as well as acquiring new business. You will collaborate with our Technical Support Team to ensure we solve customer problems using the most suitable chemistry and apply it safely and correctly to guarantee the best result possible within the industry. What you will do
  • Conduct customer site surveys and meetings to understand the customers business and processes to identify the water challenges and opportunities that exist to do things better.
  • Work with our Technical Support and Marketing team to design and deliver a customized proposal that clearly communicates our value including the financial return on investment as well as the environmental and social value.
  • Follow up and close new account opportunities ensuring that the program implementation is successful, and that the customer satisfaction level meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Support the efforts of mechanical contractors, consulting engineers and property management firms in their project efforts to build and maintain prominent facilities.
  • Support customers in the operation of their own mechanical systems through education by participating in seminars, webinars and contributing to our water treatment best practices campaigns.
  • Provide on-site technical service to key accounts which involves sample taking, analytical testing, technical reporting.
  • Trouble shoot and resolve water quality problems to ensure that program goals are achieved. This involves hands on work with water treatment equipment and mechanical components.
  • Obtain a deep understanding of the target customer markets and collaborate in marketing efforts to evolve our product offering to maintain competitive advantage.
What you will bring
  • Technical chemical sales experience or related industry knowledge and background.
  • A proven track record acquiring new customers or participating strongly in the profitable growth of a territory.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to build strong internal and external relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Self-starter with the ability to get multiple tasks done including balancing existing customer demands with growth goals for territory expansion.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to connect and communicate with a diverse range of client contacts.
  • A strong mechanical aptitude and the desire to be in a hands-on role.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, problem solving, decision making and time management skills.
  • Physical capability to manage stairs, ladders, and some moderate lifting (up to 50lbs).
  • Excellent computer skills that include the use of MS Office Suite of products.
  • Post-secondary education in Science or Engineering is considered an asset but is not required with suitable relevant experience.
  • A valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and the ability to work at safety sensitive customer sites where the customer may require drug (including cannabis) and alcohol testing as well as require the employee to be clean shaven for proper emergency respirator fitting.
