The Water Treatment Technician should have the following basic skills;
Knowledge of the water treatment industry; including water chemistry, sediment control; liquid/solids separation, chemical application and process flow application and technology.
Practical experience in the manufacture, installation, and maintenance of process equipment; including pumps, valves, controllers, and water testing equipment.
Enjoys the outdoors and working with hand.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with customers and provide excellent customer service in all types of situations.
Good understanding of service delivery and customer service.
The water treatment technician must also be able to follow directions and carry out instructions as prescribed to him by his manager. He must also be able to instruct others to ensure that company mandate and customer expectations are fulfilled.
The typical daily duties of the water treatment technician are;
Has the ability to build/plumb systems for delivery to customers.
Is able to be on site to ensure that equipment is properly installed and functioning properly.
Has the ability to troubleshoot site specific equipment and chemical application issues as they arise.
Is able to answer basic technical questions or refer to supervisor when in doubt. Is able to manage individuals to ensure tasks are completed as per supply agreements.

Education:
High School
Consideration will be given to candidates with a Certificate in water and or wastewater treatment or equivalent.
Combination of two plus years of construction or water treatment field experience and or technical training in plumbing or electrical trades will be considered an asset.
On the job training is provided with room for advancement with other areas of the company.
Pay Range:
Negotiable based on previous experience.
