Job Description

Cavendish Farms is currently seeking an individual for the position of Wastewater Treatment Plant & BioGas Facility Operator. To be based in New Annan, PE.

Reporting to the WWTP & BioGas Facility Manager, the WWTP & BioGas Operator will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, \xe2\x80\x9cCan Do\xe2\x80\x9d positive attitude and the ability to adapt to a fast paced, dynamic work environment. This position will be Full term, beginning immediately.

Successful Candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• College or University Degree in a science background.
• Wastewater Treatment Certification is considered a strong asset.
• Previous industry experience would be an asset.
• Exposure to laboratory and maintenance environments would be an asset.
• Strong computer skills.
• Clear understanding and dedication to meeting deadlines.
• Clear understanding of Safety standards.
• Ability to analyze and present information effectively and accurately.
• Ability to work independently and as part of the team.

Key Responsibilities are ( but not limited to):

• Daily operation of a Level IV Wastewater Treatment facility on a rotating shift basis.
• Daily operation of a \xe2\x80\x9cState of the art\xe2\x80\x9d BioGas Facility.
• Daily housekeeping of both plants.
• Daily monitoring of well water and water tanks.
• Laboratory testing for internal use and regulatory requirements.
• Assisting maintenance personnel as required.

WWTP & BioGas Facility Manager negotiates reporting date for successful candidate. Applications must be received by July 18, 2023
