Discover your #H2OpportunityAECOM is searching for a Wastewater Group Manager for a full-time position based in our Calgary, AB office.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:People Management Activities

• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfPerforms various management, leadership, and people accountability responsibilities for the Calgary wastewater process team with support from a senior group manager.
• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfMaintains contact with units within the organization and individuals inside and outside of the organization.

Technical Responsibilities

• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfLeads and supports multiple projects for the delivery of infrastructure to customers predominantly within the wastewater sector.
• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfHas multi-disciplinary knowledge of engineering.

Prepares engineering design reports and memoranda, facility manuals, permitting and approvals applications, specification writing.
Process Control Narrative development, cost estimating, etc. * \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfProvides detailed calculations for wastewater processes

• Prepares technical specifications and detailed design

Provides construction support, site inspections and commissioning * \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfProvides technical mentorship to junior staffProject Management and Business Development Responsibilities

• Manages wastewater projects that include multi-disciplinary engineering teams, including structural, architectural, building, mechanical, process mechanical, I&C, electrical etc
• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfProvides clear and focused leadership on all project functions related to project management, project control, design and engineering management, and construction management to meet the Clients and AECOM\'s overall goals

• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfEffectively maintains and develops a healthy Client relationship throughout the project execution and project close-out
• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfFosters the team environment that supports AECOM\'s Client focus, where employees meet the expectations, requirements, and agreements of our Clients.
• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfDefines project scope, goals, deliverables, quality and compliance requirements
• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfEnsures compliance with AECOM\'s and the Client\'s quality policies and procedures
• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfDevelops detailed work breakdown structures and project execution plans from preliminary design to contract administration

• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfSupports with the planning and preparation of accurate fee estimates to complete projects as well as baseline cash and financial performance indicators for future project control
• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfManages planning and scheduling of project deliverables and the development of schedules for design and contract administration
• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfDevelops an execution plan that allows work to be completed in logical sequences, monitors design activities, manages inter-discipline data flow and communication, and manages the introduction of design changes
• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfLeads and supports design meetings, workshops and decision making with Clients and interdisciplinary design team members
• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfEnsures strict compliance with the Client\'s and AECOM\'s safety policies and procedures
• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfUses a full range of available communication mediums to engage and solicit inputs from key stakeholders on each project
• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfProactively resolves performance, scope, cost and schedule issues

• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfMonitors and reports on progress of the project to all stakeholders
• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfEnsures accurate and timely preparation of engineering and financial status reports to our Clients
• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfConsistently delivers on each project to achieve top-tier industry benchmarks for quality, overall project delivery and project financials

• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfPrepares proposal capture plans and proposal documents
• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfProvides business development including seeking out new opportunities and enhancing existing projects

QualificationsMinimum requirements:

• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfBachelor\'s degree in Chemical, Environmental or Civil Engineering or relevant engineering field
• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbf8+ years of Technical Experience, Project Management, Design and Construction experience in Wastewater Treatment Plants and related infrastructure
• Registered P.Eng in Alberta
• Must possess a valid driver\'s license

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification such as PMP, CCE, PgMP or related certifications
• Proficient in common desktop packages i.e Word, Excel, MS Project and MS Powerpoint
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills
• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfMotivated, team player. Independent, organized with strong business acumen
• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfExcellent oral and written communication skills
