The Opportunity



We are currently seeking a Wash Bay Technician to join our team for part time shift Saturday and Sundays and possibly Full time position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for Washing Trucks and Trailers, fueling and performing Temp checks on Reefer Vans in the yard safely and efficiently. This role needs a Dynamic and responsible person . Additionally, they will be responsible for cleaning and detailing company trucks, trailers to ensure they meet cleanliness and operational standards.

Role and Responsibilities



Your duties will encompass but not be limited to the following for the Trappers Group of Companies;

Load and unload freight from trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manually.

Sort and label freight accurately according to shipping requirements.

Inspect shipments for damages, shortages, or discrepancies and report findings.

Secure cargo properly using load bars, straps, or other securing devices.

Maintain a clean and organized dock area.

Follow all safety protocols, including wearing proper PPE and using equipment correctly.

Assist drivers with trailer checks and ensure proper documentation for shipments.

Work collaboratively with dispatchers, drivers, and shop personnel.

Wash Bay Duties

Wash and clean truck exteriors, trailers, and other fleet vehicles.

Pressure wash and scrub trucks to remove dirt and road grime.

Clean truck interiors as required, including cabs and sleeper compartments.

Perform basic inspections of vehicles and report any visible damages or issues.

Maintain an organized and clean wash bay area, including proper disposal of cleaning materials.

Maintain wash bay equipment and area, manage Fuel Island, Scale and ensure all in good working condition.

Follow all safety and environmental guidelines when using cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Job Requirements



- weekend shift (Saturday and Sunday) and possibly some evenings

Willingness to work flexible hours

Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) and work in varying weather conditions.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus.

Willingness to work in different weather conditions.

Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team
