JOB TITLE: Customer Service, Warehouse/Inventory Control Representative
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager OVERVIEW OF ROLE: As a Customer Service and Warehouse Inventory Control Representative you will help manage all aspects and functions related to the divisional client?s customer service requirements for all asset divisions, including but not limited to, pricing, problem solving and planning. You will also work with the asset divisions and the Vice President on strategic pricing initiatives to achieve objectives and profit expectations. Additionally, you will also control all aspects of Winnipeg warehouse inventory management, trailer storage capacity and Motor sports inventory This position actively participates in achieving objectives that support the organizational business plan. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage assigned existing customer accounts, including projects
  • Order entry
  • Provide quotations for various scopes of freight movement.
  • Work with the Business Development team to identify opportunities to develop new business and expand on customer relationships.
  • Manage the Winnipeg warehouse operation effectively regarding inventory control and the co-ordination of in/out requirements
  • Control and manage the trailer storage capacity requirements
  • Maintain and update the daily inventory of all Motor Sports commodities under our control
  • Identify and work on areas where the implementation of process improvements to optimize departmental and organizational performance can positively affect our operation
  • Provide excellent customer service to Drivers and customers
  • Build relationships with Operations to manage appointment scheduling that meets the needs of the customer
  • Updating the business on status of shipments as requested
  • Ensure system is accurate and up to date
  • Handling inquiries in a pleasant and efficient manner
  • Maintain a high standard of ethics and integrity in the conduct of business.
The ideal candidate will possess: ? Prior Transportation, and/or Logistics experience is an asset, but not a must ? Excellent organizational skills and record keeping ability ? Decision making and negotiating skills ? Problem solving ability; recognize, assess, report, and provide solutions ? Strong customer service and relationship building skills ?
