Join ReStore Habitat for Humanity - Summer Contract Opportunity (Canada Summer Jobs Program)

We're hiring a motivated individual for a

2-month temporary position

through the

Canada Summer Jobs Program

. Applicants must be

under 30 years of age

at the start of employment, in accordance with program guidelines.

Habitat for Humanity New Brunswick is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity Canada, established in 1985. The organization mobilizes volunteers and partners to build affordable housing in order to provide partner families access homeownership. HFHSJR also raises awareness of the need for affordable housing and promotes homeownership as a means to breaking the cycle of poverty.

We are currently hiring a

Warehouse and Delivery Driver Attendant

for the Re-Store. The Re-Store is a social enterprise that raises funds for the affiliate operations (creating affordable homeownership solutions). Every dollar that is raised through the Re-Store creates impact in our community.

*This position reports to Re-Store Manager and the schedule will be based on store needs.

Responsibilities:

Deliver exceptional customer service
*Assist our driver with donation pick ups, and deliveries

*Accept donations of gently used items

*Receive and unload shipments of products from our delivery trucks

*Merchandise and organize products on the store floor

*Perform all standard cash register transactions proficiently and accurately.

*Support with updating our e-commerce platform

Requirements:

Background check will be conducted.
High School diploma or equivalent.
First Aid Certificate an asset
A minimum of 1-2 years of related experience.
Warehouse and/or moving experience helpful.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work independently, exercising good judgment.
Effective time management and organizational skills.
Ability to lift 75+ lbs., stand, squat, bend, and climb in/out of truck on a regular basis.
Ability to relate to and work well with a variety of people.
Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 8 weeks

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 35 per week
