More Than a Fad is a thrift store in Edmonton raising funds for women in addiction recovery. All profits generated by the store directly support Adeara's addiction recovery programming.

Adeara is an accredited, long-term Christian addiction recovery centre that accepts women and their dependent children. Adeara is passionate about helping vulnerable women recover from addiction and rebuild their lives. Our aim is to equip and empower women on their journey to create lasting change.

Summary

Based out of our thrift store in Edmonton, the

Warehouse Driver

supports our daily store operations. This role is responsible for lifting and moving furniture, assisting with pickups and deliveries, and maintaining an organized warehouse and loading area. As a key part of our team, you will help ensure donations are handled with care and customers receive excellent service.

Responsibilities

Load and unload donated furniture and other items from donor vehicles and store trucks. Assist with scheduled pickups and deliveries of furniture and large donations. Assist in upholding vehicle maintenance, safety, and fuel levels (e.g., reporting issues, checking fuel/oil, keeping interior clean). Safely move and arrange furniture and other heavy items in the warehouse and on the sales floor. Ensure items are handled carefully to avoid damage and maintain quality. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Assist customers with loading purchases into their vehicles. Work collaboratively with store staff and volunteers to support daily operations. Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear when necessary. Provide friendly, respectful, and professional customer service at all times.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to lift and move heavy furniture (up to 75 lbs) on a regular basis. Experience with pickups, deliveries, or warehouse work is an asset. Valid Class 5 driver's license and clean driving record for 3+ years Valid Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
