Job Title: Warehouse Associate

Summary

The Warehouse Worker will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and seamless processing of incoming and outgoing shipments. The Warehouse Worker must load and unload shipments regularly, with the capability of repetitive heavy lifting, and use any necessary equipment, e.g. lift truck, hand jack, forklift, etc. Other responsibilities will include inventory management, and the inspection of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify contents and quality. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Job Duties:

Prepare receiving dock to accept incoming product. Load and unload truck/trailer in a secure and safe manner. Match incoming product with bill of lading. Pick and prepare orders accurately. Ensure order is correct. Receive and ensure proper documentation accompanies freight. Inspect product to ensure saleable condition with acceptable expiry dates. Operate a Forklift or Electric/Hand Pallet Jack in a safe manner to move received product. Maintain a safe work environment. Rotate stock. Help manage and maintain inventory. Report discrepancies to immediate supervisor. Ensure cleanliness of warehouse is maintained. Problem solve for any cases of missing documents, shipments and deliveries. Make deliveries with a company vehicle as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Forklift experience. Working experience in Shipping and Receiving role preferred. Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. Able to communicate both verbally and in writing. Basic mathematical skills. Valid driver's license and good driving record is preferred. Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently. Attention to detail in all areas of work. Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills. Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
Working Conditions

Lifting or moving up to 50 lbs may be required. Work is performed in a combination of environments. This position may be exposed to elements such as noise, dust, odours, fumes and oils. Overtime as required.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00-$20.00 per hour
